David Pastrnak of the Boston Bruins, John Carlson from the Washington Capitals, and Carter Hutton of the Buffalo Sabres are the NHL's Three Stars of the week ending Oct. 20.

Despite losing two of the three games, the Bruins still came away with 4 points thanks to the help of David Pastrnak, who tallied a whopping 7 goals, 2 assists. He was the 25th player in Bruins history to have a 4 goal game, and it was his fifth career hat trick. He had multiple points in all three of his games and was ranked number 1 for this week's NHL's Three Stars. Wearing Bauer's Re-Akt Helmet, he remains well protected by every type of hit thanks to the suspend-tech liner, which moves independently from the interior liner. This allows the protection to stay in place when receiving hits coming in from an angle. His mitts are Bauer's new Supreme 2S Pro, which boasts unreal protection, fit, and comfort. A combination of Triple Shox Foam and Poron XRD make sure the hand is guarded against nasty slashes, hooks, and blocked shots while remaining comfortable, mobile, and lightweight. It has a contoured fit that feels close-to-the-hand, and honestly feels broken-in out of the box. Sniping his 7 goals this week was thanks to the Bauer Nexus 2N, which features the R-LITE blade core that many players within the NHL seek to use. You've probably caught on to the Bauer gear he likes to wear, so it's no surprise he is rocking the new Bauer 2X Pro Hockey Skates. Engineered for players to maximize their stride efficiency, they are one of the lightest, most responsive skates on the market. I also noticed he used Step Blacksteel, giving him added height for sharper turns and built to withstand nicks and bangs from elements of the game.

#2 - JOHN CARLSON, WSH

Another player making history this year was John Carlson, amassing 18 points in their team's opening 10 games, becoming one of three defensemen to achieve this feat - the other two being Bobby Orr and Paul Coffey. As the NHL's Second Star of the week, Carlson tallied a total of 1 goal, 7 assists and ranked second with a total of 8 points. He helped guide the Capitals to a 3-1-0 week, helping them seal another 6 points. Keeping things simple and classic on top is the Bauer 4500 Helmet, providing great protection and out-of-the-box comfort and all at an affordable price. CCM's Quicklite Gloves seem to be a favorite for him, rocking them for a number of years now. As for his stick and skates, we see him grasping on to the CCM Jetspeed FT2 Stick and wheeling in the Bauer 2X Pro Skates. The FT2 stick, one of my favorite sticks of all-time, unleashes shots from anywhere on the rink and offers players incredible puck feel.

#3 - CARTER HUTTON, BUF

Welcoming the first goalie of the 2019-20 campaign into the NHL's Three Stars of the week is Carter Hutton of the Buffalo Sabres. Hutton posted back to back shutouts, one of them being a franchise record of 47 saves in a regular-season game. He is now 5-0-0 in his first 5 appearances and showcasing a 1.40 GAA, and .953 SV%. Looks like Hutton goes with Vaughn for his mask, while representing CCM's Extreme Flex 4 series for his glove, blocker, and leg pads, which are designed for the hybrid-style goalie. Heading in a different brand direction when it comes to his paddle is Warrior's Ritual V1 stick, which offers great performance and durability.
