Another week down and another three stars have been named for the week ending November 24, 2019. Brad Marchand from the Boston Bruins, Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers, and Brock Nelson from the New York Islanders.
#1 - BRAD MARCHAND, BOSIt didn't take long for Brad Marchand to not only make it back into the NHL's Three Stars of the week but also back into the #1 spot. He posted 7 points (3 goals, 4 assists) to help the Bruins win all three games. Each game was a multiple point performance, including his 16th career 3 assist game, which is also his second of the season. Marchand is maintaining a steady pace thus far and is 3rd overall in points, trailing the two Oiler heavyweights, Draisaitl and McDavid. To quickly recap Marchand's gear setup, Warrior can be seen from head to...almost toe. Up top, he wears Warrior's Alpha One Helmet that, of course, boasts Warrior's AdaptaFit 360 System to provide a complete 360° wrap around the head. His gloves are Warrior's Dynasty AX1 and stick is the Warrior Alpha DX. Down low is Bauer's Supreme 2S Pro Skates, a medium volume skate that rocks Carbon Curv Composite in the quarter package. This material is extremely lightweight and heat-moldable while still offering elite-level protection.
#2 - CONNOR MCDAVID, EDMConnor McDavid is back again and making his third appearance already in the NHL's Three Stars of the week. He's taken the #1 spot twice this year and has been moved aside by Brad Marchand for this week. Through four games, McDavid also notched 7 points (4 goals, 3 assists) and helped the Oilers move into first place in the Western Conference Standings. He had another three-point performance, which is now his eighth of the year, against the Sharks Nov. 19. McDavid is now second in the league for goals, assists, and points through 26 games, trailing fellow teammate, Leon Draisaitl. A quick recap of Connor's gear is the Vector V08 helmet, Jetspeed FT1 Gloves, Super Tacks Stick, and Jetspeed FT2 Skates.
#3 - BROCK NELSON, NYIWelcoming a new face is New York Islanders Center, Brock Nelson. Nelson also potted 4 goals and had a total of 5 points through three games, two of which came in overtime. The Islanders have now extended their point streak to 17 games, setting a new franchise record. He himself set a franchise record by scoring the OT goal in consecutive games, helping his team secure 4 points in the standings. Bauer Hockey seems to be his choice of gear and we start off the with Bauer Re-Akt Helmet up top. His mitts are Bauer's Vapor 1X Lite, offering a tapered fit and 3-piece thumb for excellent hand dexterity. Held within the grip of their AX Suede Quattro Palms is Bauer's Nexus 2N Pro Stick. It is a highly popular and powerful mid-kick stick that also features one of the most requested blade constructions amongst NHL players. It's R-Lite Blade Core is light, stiff, yet has a dampening layer for excellent puck control. Just like Marchand, Nelson uses Bauer's Supreme 2S Pro Skates for powerful strides and 360° comfort.
