I hope you all had a good St. Patty's day and enjoyed a day filled with friends, family, your favorite beverage, and of course hockey. With the week ending March 17, we have our 3 stars and are even closer to reaching the highly anticipated 2019 playoffs. Only three more weeks to go! This weeks first star is the New York Islanders goaltender, Thomas Greiss. At second star is Chicago Blackhawks LW, Brendan Perlini, and finishing us off at third place is C, Connor McDavid, of the Edmonton Oilers.

THOMAS GREISS

Leading goalies this week by stopping 116 out of 121 shots, posting a 1.25 GAA, .959 SV%, and one shutout is New York Islanders tendy, Thomas Greiss. Ending the week with a 3-1-0 record, Greiss moved his team back into first place in the Metro Division. Greiss sports Vaughn Velocity V6 pads and gloves, and a Velocity 2300 mask. His choice of paddle is the Bauer Supreme 2S, which is lightweight and has great rebound control as well as playability. He rocks Graf skates, unlike most goalies who either wear Bauer, CCM, or True.

BRENDAN PERLINI
#2 Brendan Perlini2.jpg
At #2, Chicago Blackhawks, Brendan Perlini tallied over a third of his 2018-2019 season's points in only 3 games played this week. He scored 5 goals, 2 assists, which brought him to 20 points in 58 games played. He scored his first career hat trick and even against his former team, Arizona Coyotes. Perlini's bucket is the Bauer 4500, a very popular choice among players at all levels of hockey. Switching things over to CCM, he uses Pro Stock CCM gloves and the 2016 CCM Ribcor Trigger hockey stick. For wheels, Perlini switches things back over to the Bauer side and can be seen wearing the Bauer Vapor 1X hockey skates, the most popular in the NHL today.

CONNOR McDAVID
#3 Connor McDavid2.jpg
McDavid scored 3 goals, 6 assists in four games this week to help the Oilers win two games and help himself reach the 100 point milestone, which is now his third straight season. Not only that, but he is now the fifth player in the last 20 years to reach 300 points in less the 250gp, joining Sidney Crosby, Alex Oveckin, Paul Kariya, and Evgeni Malkin. This just goes to show you how much of a beast this kid is, especially since his rookie season was cut short with a shoulder injury. McDavid is a huge face for CCM, and wears it from head-to-toe. Up top he wears the Vector V08 helmet, still very popular amongst players throughout the league. For mitts we see the CCM Jetspeed FT1's, which offer a tapered fit and pro-level protection package that utilizes D30 Smart Foam, Zotefoam, and plastic inserts. His twig is the CCM Super Tacks AS1, which is the lightest, most durable, and most powerful Tacks stick to date. McDavid gets his burst of speed with the brand new CCM Jetspeed FT2 hockey skates. One of the biggest feature upgrades is the new Speedblade XS Holder, allowing players to quickly change out steel. For a full tech and spec review, head over to our CCM Jetspeed FT2 blog.
